Our Story

We’re a group of people who care about the health of our planet and its communities. When we learned that producing clothes is responsible for 10% of the world’s greenhouse gases, and that each year nearly 100 million tons of returned and unsold clothes are sent to landfills, we decided that we needed to do something about it.

We started notnot to provide a better alternative for returns and unwanted clothes than a landfill – one that is good for business, shoppers, and the planet. Our name comes from the proverb “waste not, want not,” which we think is particularly fitting for what we’re doing. Our marketplace is where these clothes get a second chance to be discovered by someone who will appreciate them. Most of the clothes you’ll find here are new, but we also offer pre-loved clothes such as returns and trade-ins that are in like new condition. Everything we sell is offered at discounts you’re not going to find anywhere else.

When you shop with us you’re doing more than just getting great deals. You’re also demonstrating your commitment to reducing your carbon footprint, and to supporting brands that care about changing how the apparel industry operates. It may seem like buying a returned or out-of-season shirt is trivial, but even the smallest action can have an enormous impact when everyone else is also doing it.
